MIDORI.so Bakuroyokoyama Galleryでは、T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYOの「Area Pickup Partnerships」企画として2つの展示を開催。前半では、写真家・アーティストの西村祐馬による個展を開催します。
「Materialized Fiction」は、「人はなぜ電気を食べられないのか？」という素朴な疑問から始まります。そこから西村は、さまざまな「もしも」を想像し、写真を革にプリントすることで、フィクションの世界に物質的なかたちを与えます。本展では、こうした「あり得る世界」のプロトタイプを通して、フィクションと現実の境界を問い直します。
Materialized Fiction begins with the question: “Why can’t humans eat electricity?” From this simple idea, Nishimura explores a series of “what ifs,” giving fictional worlds physical form through photographs printed on tanned leather. These works become prototypes of possible worlds, questioning the boundaries between fiction and reality.
